1. Introduction

Welcome to TextMate AI ("https://textmateai.online"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our AI-powered chat application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Chat data: Messages and conversations you have with the AI assistant.
  • Usage data: How you interact with our service (features used, session duration).
  • Google data (if connected): When you connect Google services (Gmail, Drive, Calendar) via OAuth, we access only the data necessary to perform the actions you request. We store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain your connection.
  • Files you upload: Documents or images you share within chats for AI analysis.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our AI chat service.
  • To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
  • To fulfil your requests when you ask the AI to interact with connected services (Gmail, Drive, Calendar).
  • To send transactional emails (password reset, login alerts) via Resend.
  • To monitor performance and diagnose issues.

4. Google API Services

TextMate AI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect your Google account, we request access to Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar only to perform actions you explicitly request within the chat interface. We do not:

  • Read or scan your Google data for advertising purposes.
  • Share your Google data with third parties except as required to provide the service.
  • Store email or file content beyond the duration of a single request.
  • Use your Google data to train AI models.

You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions. Revoking access will disconnect the Google connector in TextMate AI.

5. Data Storage and Security

We store your data in Supabase (PostgreSQL). OAuth tokens and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • NVIDIA NIM / AI providers: Your chat messages are sent to AI inference APIs to generate responses.
  • Supabase: Database hosting for account data and connector configurations.
  • Resend: Email delivery for transactional emails.
  • Google APIs: When you use a connected Google service, your requests are forwarded to Google.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and chat history for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove your data from our systems within 30 days. Connected OAuth tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect a service.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Data portability.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
