Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TextMate AI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

TextMate AI is an AI-powered chat platform that lets you interact with AI language models, connect external services (such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar via OAuth), and extend functionality through plugins and MCP connectors.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to circumvent AI safety measures or prompt injection attacks.
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
  • Use the Service for spam, phishing, or malware distribution.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

5. Connected Services (Google OAuth)

When you connect third-party services such as Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Calendar, you grant TextMate AI permission to access those services on your behalf. You remain responsible for your use of those third-party services and must comply with their respective terms of service.

You may disconnect any linked service at any time from the Connectors settings. Disconnecting will revoke our access to that service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, and original content are owned by TextMate AI and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated responses are provided for informational purposes only. TextMate AI makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. You should not rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice without independent verification.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TextMate AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to legal proceedings.
